Ultraculture, Episode 10: Generation Hex at Alex and Allyson Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors… a shamanic transmission from 2005!

In this episode of the Ultraculture podcast, I’m sharing a bit of shamanic weirdness from the archives: The recording of the launch event for my first book, Generation Hex, in which about half of the book’s contributors appeared on stage together to share their insights and discuss the role of magick in youth culture. Represented were myself, Angelina Fabbro, Shaun Frente, James Curcio, Micki Pellerano, Atman and Rachel Haywire, introduced by the constantly gracious Alex Grey.

It was the Bush years, and we were just trying to keep the lights on. Some of our ideas may look naïve in retrospect, but it was an incredibly exciting time, a “cultural flashpoint” that I was privileged to be given a stewardship role of. (Here’s a touching blog post, via Binding the Occult, that explains a bit of the impact the book had at the time.)
