Can personal psychic readings give clear guidance on life, love and emotional health?
I was at a local occult store that offered personal psychic readings two days ago.
I had this feeling that it was important that I be there. Not that day, specifically, but that my general presence in that store would be very interesting and worthwhile. Suddenly, I saw a woman sitting on a chair. I stopped walking. It was like everything pointed at her, with big neon lights. Everything about the energy she was giving off just said “I need help”.
I stared at her for a few seconds.
“Hello,” I said.
She politely returned the greeting, and asked if she was blocking my view of the bookshelf behind her. I told her that she wasn’t.
I didn’t move. I had no idea how to approach a stranger in an environment like this. I had given messages to people on the street before, or cashiers, but this was somehow harder. I could feel her anxiety.
I sat down next to her and I told her that she was very sensitive, and that she was very anxious. The woman was very defensive; she didn’t want to seem vulnerable, especially to a random goth girl that had just left her teenage years. She told me that she desperately needed to tell someone something. I told her that I knew she did. I also said that her desire to share a problem which was clearly causing her stress, was something that I could feel as soon as I saw her.
She thanked me for approaching her and offering to let her explain at her own pace. She was glad that I wanted to give her a chance to open up to me instead of just reading her, but that she was waiting for an appointment with Shauna. I figured that she had been waiting around for an appointment, but in that moment that she said the name “Shauna,” I saw the concept of professional psychics and personal psychic readings in a completely new light.
By feeling what another individual feels as an empath, or feeling the nature of the world very strongly as a psychic, one is able to comfort or offer aid to another human much better than an individual who is not as in tune with the world, who is not as in tune with the energy of others. Personal psychic readings could be seen as a deeper level of therapy, rather than the stigmatized phenomena that popular culture sees it now.
These sessions can even be done through modern technology. Sites that offer personal psychic readings have portfolios of humans that you could see if you feel comfortable discussing the world, your past, and your future too.
I’m living proof that personal psychic readings can be held through technology. I mostly work through touching of one’s palms or face, but recently I was taught by another psychic/empath how to read a person’s past, present and general future through a photograph.
Initially, when I was reading people constantly in real life and through the internet, I behaved very stupidly. I was hounded with requests for readings, and I rarely asked for money. It was very draining, and I wasn’t cleaning my aura or balancing my energy afterwards. By not taking these precautions, I was letting everyone’s trauma and problems stain me. Just ask my roommate. During that time, she often found me in bed, crying or unmoving, with a pint of Greek chocolate frozen yogurt beside me.
With great power comes great responsibility (thank you Uncle Ben), and if you’re going to be handling everyone’s pasts, presents, and futures at a semi-constant rate, you’d best not take your work home with you. Psychics and Empaths have worked really hard to build themselves up to a point where they can handle their ability to dive into another person through a personal psychic reading, but they can also pull themselves out of the other individual, wash themselves off, and live their own lives. Many psychics and empaths use buffers, such as mirrors, crystal balls, and water bowls as a means of personal safety. It’s a different and much deeper approach to human connection than most people are used to. And it’s a skill that has to be tapped into, not memorized in a textbook.
There’s a psychic man that I view as an important mentor in my life, that once made a cheeky comment about psychics being exploited over the internet by doing personal psychic readings. I’m realizing now that I politely disagree with his attitude. His spiritual direction takes him down a different path, and I understand that. But I also appreciate how strong the humans on good sites that offer personal psychic readings are, because of their constant desire to help give some relief to another human.
When you’re at a dinner table with your family next Thanksgiving, and your nephew says that he works as a professional on-call psychic, instead of laughing at him and making jokes with the rest of your family, remember all the times that he knew that something was wrong with you, and the times that he felt extremely overwhelmed with everything that he was feeling from the world. Can you recall all the times he felt so drained, as a result of feeling every human’s energy within his general proximity? Remember how he was growing up, how genuinely caring he is as a person, and be glad that he’s learned to balance his energy, and take care of himself and his gifts.
